What a Brand Vault actually is

Not a style guide. Not a prompt. The working record of who you are — locked in before a word is written.

· RevRocket

A Brand Vault is RevRocket's working record of who you are. We build it during onboarding so everything we generate with our agents sounds like you — and a marketing engineer who knows your business inside and out decides what launches.

That is the whole idea. The rest of this piece is why it has to exist, and why we will not start an engagement without it.

Anyone can run AI. Most of it sounds like no one.

We put this on the homepage because it is the actual risk: Afraid AI will make you sound like everyone else? So are we.

The same tools produce the same cadence, the same adjectives, the same empty confidence. Customers can hear it. So can Google. So can the answer engines that are supposed to cite you. If the output is not you, speed is just a faster way to become invisible.

A one-page brief does not stop that. A “tone of voice” slide in a deck does not stop that. Those things sit in a folder. They do not constrain what a model is allowed to say the moment it gets confident.

What we actually lock in

During onboarding we get a full understanding of the company. Four things have to be true before we generate a word:

Who you are. Not the About page. How you talk when you're at a BBQ, what you care about, and what you would never put on a billboard.

How you want to be seen. The version of you a potential customer should meet. Not a nameless, faceless company. A decision about how you show up — and who exactly that is for.

Who you are not. The exclusions matter as much as the inclusions. The Vault knows what you refuse to be, so the guardrails are clear.

The thing you couldn't say. Most companies have an essence, but have a hard time putting it into words. We find a way to say it. Then we lock it in so it doesn't get lost or misconstrued.

That last one is usually the work. A lot of owners come in knowing they are more than the paragraph on their homepage, and not knowing how to say it. Figuring that out is not a workshop we bill extra for. It is the start of the engagement.

Guardrails on the way in. A human on the way out.

AI does the heavy lifting. The Vault is the guardrail. A marketing engineer holds the key.

There is always a human in the loop. Not just any human — someone who knows your business inside and out, what you sound like, and what is allowed to go live. How we work is the loop. The Vault is what the loop is not allowed to leave behind.

That is why the content we build can move at AI speed without turning you into the shop down the street.

Why this is the part the rest depends on

Google has been clear that showing up in AI features is still SEO — useful, people-first pages, not a side sport you buy instead of search. We agree. We also know this: if those pages could have been written about any company in your category, you will not be the source an assistant cites. You will be noise.

The Brand Vault is how we keep the work from flattening you. Every plan starts here. If we skipped it, we would be selling you the same problem you already have.

Read the Brand Vault page if you want the short version. This is the argument underneath it.

Questions, answered

What is a Brand Vault?

It is the working record of who you are — locked in during onboarding before we generate anything. A marketing engineer who knows your business decides what goes live.

Is a Brand Vault a separate product?

No. Every RevRocket engagement starts here. It is not a line item and it is not optional.
